Common fears associated with histamine intolerance...

  • Will someone notice the rash spreading across your arms, legs, or stomach?
  • Will tonight end with another trip to the ER?
  • Will GI issues keep you up all night—again?
  • What about the embarrassment of bringing your own food to a dinner party?
  • Or the fear your face will flush the second you take a bite or sip?
  • Will a simple walk through a store leave you with a pounding headache from scents or carpet fibers?
  • Will that very first bite of food suddenly leave you congested?

Sometimes you feel disconnected from your body...

  • A relaxing hot bath leaves your skin inflamed.
  • Leftovers from last night’s “safe” dinner suddenly trigger GI upset.
  • Your spouse walks in wearing a scent that brings on a pounding headache.
  • A thoughtful gift of flowers has to be thrown away just so you can breathe.
  • Even your dog’s shampoo or the cleaning products in your home leave you itchy, teary, or burning.
  • You try to light a candle, hoping it’s “safe,” only to end up with a splitting headache.
  • Heat bothers you. Cold bothers you. Food feels unpredictable.
  • Workout clothes rub the wrong way, your joints ache for no reason, and even exercise can
    trigger headaches or unexplained soreness.
  • Tears sting your skin. Mood swings feel like they come out of nowhere.
  • Panic attacks leave you shaken.
  • And some days—you just want it all to stop.

Sound familiar?

If so, you're suffering from histamine intolerance and mast cell activation syndrome

Histamine intolerance and MCAS are difficult to diagnose because everyone reacts differently to different triggers.

However, the symptoms and the fear are real.

I 'm no stranger to the symptoms and triggers of histamine intolerance

I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Urticaria Pigmentosa when I was in my early 30s.

I think I always had symptoms, I just had nothing to connect the dots (no pun intended) when it came to my sudden rash that never went away.  When I was diagnosed, little was known about mast cells and the symptoms that would eventually take over my life and cause me to live in fear.

Ultimately, I ended up taking 7 anti-histamines a day and was worried about the long-term effects of over the counter medications. When my allergist retired, I decided to take a different route. I consulted a functional medicine practitioner and discovered my lifestyle was making me sick.
